"It would have been a good stay except for one thing...the bed mattress was terrible and I spent the night tossing and turning and only managed 3 hours sleep and I was speaking at a funeral the next day so it wasnt good. Eveything else was great so if they could just provide mattresses where the springs dont bite into your back, shoulders and thighs it would be a great place to stay"

Only my personal preference would be cotton bedding and heavier duvet and better quality pillows for the winter also the overhead kitchen cupboards are in need of an update as quite difficult to shut . The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. "
