"Cute little place. A busy restaurant is attached and parking is pretty tight. You have to wait until the parking lot opens up at the end of the night to move your car into it. Otherwise some street parking available. We were on the third floor so had to hit the maze of stairs to get to the top but it wasn't too bad. Sits right in town which is really cute. Eateries are open pretty late if you look around."

"Heather the manager was very friendly and welcoming. We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home. Definitely would recommend a stay."

"We had another lovely stay at The Eagle & Child. It offers great value for money. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The en-suite shower room was a good size and the shower was powerful and hot. Tea and coffee making facilities in room with complimentary bottles of water were appreciated as were the chocolate biscuits. Breakfast was included with a great selection of fruit and cereals and a good selection of cooked options. We opted for a full Cumbrian...

"Loved out stay at this hotel and restaurant on our final day in the Lakes. We stayed in Scafell Pike with the only negative being the room was very hot (we stayed in late Aug). We would definitely stay there again. "
