"I had such a delightful stay! The room was spacious and clean, with a breathtaking view that added to the enjoyment. The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. I particularly appreciated the breakfast menu, which featured delicious vegan options. We made sure to reserve a table every morning. All in all, it was a truly fantastic experience!"

"Warm comfortable room in lovely hotel that is walking distance from lake. House was where Beatrix Potter took holidays & she eventually bought it for her mother. Love the whimsical touches such as carpets & wallpaper. Easy private parking included. Stairs to rooms on first & second floors but staff help with luggage if needed. Dinner & breakfast at the hotel restaurant were good."

"Attractive location right on the waterfront with boat moorings, lakeside patio and garden. Relaxed atmosphere, airy common areas and a cosy bar. We had a lovely lake view room. Good unpretentious food in the brasserie restaurant. Will come again!"

"Hotel was comfortable, room larger than expected & shown in photos. Rooms overlooking the car park can be a little noisy, and affected by the smell of smoke, but that is due to inconsiderate people rather than a hotel issue!"

"I liked so much of it. Draw back for me as a 62 yr old woman travelling alone was the dining experience. Both at dinner and breakfast I was put in the middle of the room where I felt vulnerable. I did say something but they said it was what they had available. I did book a month or two ago so this wasn’t a last minute thing. I guess there will be those whose who don’t understand my concerns but there will be many others that will get it totally. Otherwise the room and lounges were all excellent."
