Didn't use the bar, but the staff were great and very helpful the room was clean and comfortable. The vegan sausages are terrible though, in an ever changing world where we should be looking at reducing the carbon footprint of everything. You should be providing a better vegan option and promoting the choose so other people can choose to eat less meat.

Helpful Staff, Nice Hotel!

Hotel is currently being refurbished, my friends and I was given one of the new rooms, ample of room in the junior suite, spent 3 nights here due to a festival, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, wouldn’t hesitate to visit again

First class and comfortable accommodation. Although the breakfast was buffet style, hot items were kept hot and continental items were fresh. Parking was ample and off road. I will certainly be going there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. All very friendly staff. It would have been even better if the restaurant was a bit warmer. The TV in our room was a Smart Samsung but with no features of a smart TV. Only very limited tv stations and no TV guide and the screen mirroring did not work

Excellent and comfortable.

We were only there overnight for a family visit nearby, but the refurbished room was excellent and comfortable. My only complaint was the breakfast which looked and tasted lovely but was barely warm.

The staff were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The breakfast was self service but a very good variety of continental and cooked. Some areas could do with an uplift but overall a comfortable and well maintained hotel.

Communal facilities with the exception of the Gym were good. The Gym had no A/C & the water machine wasn’t working. Bathroom door in bedroom had been butchered by numerous repairs, so much so, that thr screw end for the towel hooks was protruding at eye level on the bedroom side of the door. There were sharp edges where the carpet & hard floor met in the bedroom.

Stay was ok, but only ok, room was far too hot and no air conditioning and no fan meaning i had to sleep in sweltering heat due to being on the second floor and the window opening a massive 2 inches, fridge appeared to have been removed from the room (same for my colleague), carpets in communal areas coming up causing a trip hazard. Worst bit of the stay is that Babcock have a load of apprentices staying there who made an absolute racket every night at 10.30ish so this hotel is closer to a youth hostel than a hotel. On a positive note Rachel from the restaurant/bar was fantastic, very outgoing personable and attentive
