"We had a fantastic time at the Whaler. The property is amazing. Location is perfect! The beach is clean and water is super clear! The staff are all very accommodating and nice. The tour concierge even reminded me that my booking included a $139 credit for a tour that I had not yet used and we were about to book one. All the resorts around the Whaler had restaurants that were easily accessible from the beach boardwalk. Plus the Whaler Village provided great options for food and a little shopping...

"Being on the beach was key. Hotel staff were excellent, though noticed a couple of things which seem to slip and probably due to Covid and now Trump. I had to call for housing keeping for towels as no one showed up first first 5 days. The dryer door came off in the hinge at top (just needed screws tighten). The room was good, but a couple of things which were needing attention, this is not a 4.6 star .... closer to 4. Though I'm sure when travel to US is not an issue, this beautiful place...

"I have to say, this is one of the best places that I've stayed in in Hawaii. The property was quiet and came with everything we needed in the room. It came with pots, pans, plates, cups, and so much other stuff. The room and property grounds were so clean. All the staff were so nice. Every one greeted us when they saw us. I definitely will be back. "

"I arrived at night and didn’t realize there wasn’t a front desk. My phone had no signal, so I couldn’t make a call. A guy who lived there was outside and let me borrow his phone, so I was then able to call and get instructions. There was apparently a key box, and they gave me the code. However, I couldn’t figure out how to open the key box, so I went back to that same guy, and, between the two of us, we figured it out. It was very frustrating getting inside, but once I did, I really liked...

"Loved everything about the stay and property. Just a slight issue with the designated parking we were assigned to. Out of the four days, a car was parked on our designated parking for 2 days and no one was available to speak to about it on grounds office. "

"The room was great, we had an ocean view with everything we needed for the week, we will be going back! "

"Great place right along the ocean with great views! Only down side is there’s no AC but it wasn’t too bad. The ocean breeze was a nice way to cool off. We went during spring break in April, maybe summer time would be more uncomfortable without the AC. We could see turtles in the water right from the condo’s windows and balcony. Over all, it was spacious and lovely. "

"I didn't like the fact that what I thought I booked was a hotel room, but in fact was a unit independently managed by Vacasa. That should be disclosed before the booking, not after."

"When booking we were not informed of no air conditioning. My wife has asthma and she can not stay in any unit without A/C. As per the unit! It was nice, Not beachfront as stated! BUT! Jimbo, your manager was absolutely great. He helped us in every way to locate another unit etc. etc. You have a great employee!!! Regards; Dean"
