"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The king bedroom we stayed in was spacious and had full kitchen utensils, pots, pans, microwave, fridge for making simple meals. Our room was # 215, an upstairs room which has a nice view of a garden area from the outside lanai area; and a bit of the ocean view. Across the ocean we could see Lanai island in the distance. The staff was also very friendly. Close to the small town area (5mins by car); 20 minutes from the airport. We would stay here...
"We enjoyed having the pool and the beach a few steps away from our room. That was particularly nice given we traveled with our 4 year old daughter. The towel service and outdoor showers also made the beach experience pleasant. I noticed many resorts in Kaanapali are in front of the beach but the beach has little or no sand. "The Hotel Lanai is one of my favorite places. Compared to when I was there in 2016, it has been upgraded significantly. The rooms are amazing! However, the best part of the Hotel Lanai is the bar and restaurant staff. They are the friendliest people I have ever met. I have never come across such a wonderful group of people in my life. "The cooking station downstairs allowed for easier food costs compared to eating out every meal and the free laundry mat helped out with the return to home. Pool was fun and they had plenty of events throughout the week like free snowcones and live music. The staff was always friendly especially when there was a problem. A great place to stay!"
