"We recently stayed at Lime Tree Bay Resort in Long Key, Florida, in a waterfront room overlooking the ocean for our anniversary. The staff acknowledged our anniversary, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel welcome.
The property is peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind in the Florida Keys. We especially loved spending time on the fishing pier—it was a great place to relax, take in the views, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hammocks scattered throughout the property were another favorite and made it easy to kick back and enjoy the ocean breeze. The pool was also very nice and clean, although it was much colder than we expected.
Our only disappointments were the strong smell from the sargassum seaweed, the unusually low water levels due to the lack of rain, and the fact that our waterfront view was partially obstructed by palm trees. We understand these are mostly natural conditions and not necessarily the resort’s fault, but they did affect our overall experience.
Even with those drawbacks, we had a relaxing and enjoyable anniversary getaway."
