There was a glitch in the admin system which meant it thought I hadn't paid, paid again and then got to room, checked and went back to rectify and said it could take up to 6 days to refund. The room was boiling even though there was a fan in the room, they had no extra fans to help with the warmth which was nearly unbearable on day 1. The room was for 3 people but only set up for 2. "Great location. Lovely staff members. Spa treatments were amazing. Room was lovely but bear in mind if your staying top floor in summer there absolutely stifling and not pleasant to sleep in. The fans don’t do much really."

"I love this hotel, I visit at least twice a year. Its large, but comfortable and perfectly situated for both the town of Buxton and the wider peak district. The staff are mainly young, but helpful and hardworking ....they could do with a few more sometimes, they can be very busy, especially in the bar. "Nice clean rooms , spacious, no hairdryer or Aircon in the rooms and it was hot , did get a fan from the reception staff who where helpful, breakfast was nice , no vegan options,did ask for vegan yoghurt and they didn't have any . "This hotel really did represent value for money on a weekend where the city was busy due to a famous comedian performing. The hotel is central and only a five minute walk from the train station. Staff helpful, communal spaces lovely for a drink in the evening. "The spa and pool was love, we realkt enjoyed it, but we had no kettle in our room we walked to reception and asked for one, I offered to collect it and take it back but they saud no a member of staff will bring it , we never received it, so couldn't have any drinks in our room, room was clean but dated , but on the whole we enjoyed it, breakfast was great"
