"I booked this hotel for a last minute mini break for myself and my best friend. The hotel was the cheapest i could find with decent reviews so we decided to go for it. The pub is quirky and welcoming, with a selection of board games, the hotel is dated but all in order and well kept. My ONLY criticism is that the bath room had had a wipe over but i don't believe it had had a decent deep clean in a while. Otherwise, for the price, it was brilliant. "Comfortable bed, quiet hotel so had a good night’s sleep - the most important thing in a hotel stay. The hotel was close to the train station, shopping and the University. It was a perfect place to stay. Note there is ongoing construction next to the hotel, but we could not hear it in our room. "

"I stayed here while visiting my daughter at UOB, the rooms were large and spacious, the bed was comfy and I loved having the bath. We ate at the Highfield pub next door, it is on the expensive side but the food we had was delicious and the service was great. Would recommend Half an hour walk to the University "

"It is my second time staying at bloc hotel apartments and its always a pleasure. The staff are A+ very welcoming i had 2 heavy bags and one of the staff members asked if i needed any help taking bags to my room as i was second floor he went out of his way and it much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and i would recommend friends and family to stay here if they need accommodation when coming from out of towm. A+ staff and stay thank you"

"The location for this hotel works really well for the city. I enjoyed exploring the canal network nearby. The actual building itself is stylish, the underground parking worked really well and I didn't think that £15 for 24 hours was expensive. Unfortunately only one lift to the accommodation was working... And this was creaking and groaning a lot! The room was simple but spacious and comfortable. The only negative for me was the lack of a safe in the room. I would stay here again."
