The only thing against this place was that no breakfast was available, and to find a breakfast venue was very difficult.

Perfectly adequate
The facilities were adequate for our stay. We were a group of cyclists , and just needed somewhere relatively cheap in the Moreton area. The rooms were clean and well furnished, and very quiet at night.

The room was clean and comfortable. Because this was a dorm at the Fire Service College we didn't expect much, just a good comfortable room... which we got. The parking is some distance from the dorm, so we had an interesting time dragging our stuff there. But good value for the money.

Booked this stay with the understanding that we would be staying in the accommodation shown in the photo. Unfortunately this was not the case and we were placed in an older student accommodation block which was very dated compared to the property shown. No sooner had I dropped the bags in the room, I had to go back to reception so someone could come and open the safe for me as the previous occupant had left it locked - which was handy as the guy also took away the item of women's underwear that had also been left by the previous occupier! The bed in the room did not line up with the bed lamps, which were located to the side of the bed instead of above it, and you couldn't reach the on / off switch when sat in bed? That said, rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly. Covid measures were good, although the provision of paper cups to have a cup of tea in made it difficult to hold until the brew had cooled down a bit! Would of expected the College to let us know in advance that the accommodation provided wasn't what we booked, as I would have probably asked for a reduction in price.

Secure, peaceful and quiet. Though it’s a training camp grounds so don’t expect dining, express food outlets and bars. Good health protocols.Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Will stay here again if I visit Cotsworld again.

It's not fancy nor individual, but that was expected. Room was tidy, clean and generally comfortable. Very limited on-site amenities especially at the weekend so don't expect bars and restaurants on your doorstep, but a very good price for the area and great as a base to explore around the Cotswolds.

OK for a couple of nights.
The accomodation was OK, more or less what we expected. However the bed was much smaller than we are used to and the mattress was so hard I found it difficult to sleep and it made both of my hips painful. It wasn't always possible to get hold of anybody at reception. It would have been better if we could have eaten there as we found a lot of the places in Moreton were fully booked. I think the details should have said that there was a charge for the swimming pool.

Value for money
Value for money Very clean Down side - vacating rooms between 9-2. However small price to pay for cleanliness and if sight seeing it is best to get up early any wayvand miss crowds.

Served it’s purpose perfectly.
Perfect location as the cycling event started and finished at the same place. Nice and quiet as in the middle of a huge and closed training campus (open midweek). No food available but that was expected so planned ahead. So much cheaper than anything in town and only 1.5 miles away, walkable when not raining.

Comfortable Stay
We had a comfortable stay at the property and Rooms were nice & clean with lots of space. Paid Breakfast facility is available on-site restaurant, but not Lunch/Dinner. Place is more than a mile away from the city & its an easy walk and taxi takes £10. Overall it was a good value for money.

Myself and partner stayed here for 2 nights, we had a good stay. Very clean, basic but sufficient facilities. Very quite and secure with 24 hr security to access the site.

We came late after the reception was closed and spent a good half an hour trying to find the house where we were supposed to stay. Their site is huge and we didn't really understand where to go, so ended up looking in every building and calling to security. The room itself was excellent.

Comfortable stay, though quiet with no facilities
Room was very comfortable and clean. Ample car parking and felt safe/secure as site entrance is covered 24/7. However when we arrived at 1800 on Sat none of the facilities (sports centre, pool, bar/dining/lounge complex) were open. Looking at the guide, appears these are open predominantly Sun-Thurs only - I suppose in line with 'college' accomodation.

The accommodation was fine but sadly all the amenities were closed meaning that after a long trip we then had to do more driving. They should warn you that in the event that the place is almost empty that the bars will be closed. Room fine, clean and comfortable but the exterior lighting is poor.

An excellent room BUT 90% of tv channels did not work (weak signal) and in my room there was a constant hum or buzzing (assume elecric motor) which kept me awake. A shame because the rest was very good

Great Stay
Great stay, unusual. Sprawling parkland site in the countryside, very smart, modern set of blocks, clean and quiet. Lots of fitness available on site, or you can hang out and watch the trainees suffer instead. Security 24/7, a bit like being on a service base, but much better.

Ideal if you have a car
Think of college dormitory but larger and of a good standard. Need a car as its a mile walk into Moreton. Very peaceful, clean and secure location.

This is the perfect 1 night stay in Moreton-in-Marsh. The Head Receptionist (lovely lady, brown hair) is so welcoming and friendly. You truly cannot fault it!

Staying at a fire service college was definitely a unique experience, especially when the police recruits were doing drills. A great experience though, cheap drinks at the bar and a very comfortable room. I would definitely look at staying here again when visiting the Cotswolds.

Hot room = uncomfortable night
Check in was fine, but beware car parking is quite a way from the room itself. We were on the top floor and the first thing that hit us was how hot the room was. No AC and window would only open a few inches and not stay open. A hot, stuffy room does not make for a good night's sleep. Room is basic, but the bed was really comfortable (despite the heat). Tea and coffee provided,but no fridge.TV had lots of channels to choose from. Shower really good. For the area it is cheap accommodation, but I wish we had paid more for a room with AC elsewhere.

A great base for us - touring nearby on our bicycles. The bed was super comfy and overall the room was fine. If you keep a waych out you can also see a variety of exercises being played out on the training ground!

Clenliness Arrived late no signs to indicate which block we we’re staying in among several well spread out blocks. Information pack in room shewed reception as the gatehouse, never did find on site reception

Fire Service College
Very good value for money if you are simply looking for a base to tour from or special event /short visit. Rooms are a good size with small but manageable ensuite shower room. Large comfortable bed. Extensive tree lined grounds (300+ acres)and about 2 miles from Moreton in Marsh . Signing out time could be an issue for some visitors.
