"Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. "Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . "

"Arrived late at night and had trouble finding a car park space. Access around the building is one way but to exit you have to go through a locked gate and you need a code - as a guest who has just arrived you don't have this info. I called the hotel 3 times whilst stuck at the gate and no one answered. Luckily a guest walked past and gave me the code. Went around again but this time went in the multistorey up a level. "From check in to check out.I had a lovely stay. The hotel is really nice.I had an amazing sleep while there. The beds are very comfy. The breakfast on offer was really good, with cooked available. "I didn't use parking because I came by train. Breakfast is ok but room cleaning bad. It's proper cleans room, chocolate rappers and peanuts mess already on floor when I entered in room first day after check in. I complained to reception but lady was standing this time, she said sorry and nothing else. She had to change my room or can refund 20% discount but she didn't."

"Great value deal. Close to the centre of the city. Easy access to public transportation. Large room with windows. Not very clean but it is acceptable. Seperated toilet and shower. Nice and helpful staff. But please be aware to bring yourself a kettle and a cup with you. The room does not offer any of these."
