"Front desk was exceptionally helpful. Location is great, if you like walking- which we do! The neighborhood is quiet with grocery stores and cafes nearby. City center is ~15 minute walk, Amsterdam Centraal was ~30 minutes. The hotel was clean and spacious for our family of 5. Now, the building is old, so, go in knowing that. I saw some reviews that the building was dirty… not the case. It is old, carpet on the stairs is ripped in the hallway, there are scuffs on the wall. However, it is clean....

The few critiques I would mention are that the room does not have a microwave, so it’s hard to heat up leftovers. Also, we had the 4 person family suite on the fourth floor.
