"Warm and friendly staff which went out of their way to make us feel wanted. Hotel Certaldo is within walking distance to Funicular for excellent food and spectacular views of country side. It also provides eary access to surrounding area including Carrara, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. Its a hidden gem"

"Beautiful room and bathroom at the front of the hotel. Had large balcony, shared with other rooms (although nobody else used it when we were there). Extremely comfortable room with efficient aircon. Food in the on-site restaurant was excellent, as was the hotel's home-grown/produced wine. Breakfast also great, with loads of choice. Staff polite and helpful. Some noise from passing trains when windows were open, but being near the station was a requirement for us, and this didn't impact our stay....

"Wow! What a great hotel. Very European feeling. Super staff (shout out to Antonio at the front desk for above and beyond customer service). Great view of lake. Easy walk (and funicular) from train. Great breakfast, wonderful city. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!"

"Staff! Due to a landslide caused by heavy rains, our party of 4 was stuck in Milan with no way to get back to Lugano. Hotel staff arrange a taxi to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel when all transpiration options were overtaxed and expensive. The staff literally saved us from a very difficult circumstance."

"Vi blev opgraderet gratis til den store suite, som var helt fantastisk med masser af plads og to altaner, begge med flotte udsigter. Stort fitness center med mange forskellige maskiner og en dejlig wellness-afdeling med udendørs (kun om sommeren) og indendørs pool, spa, sauna, dampbad, koldtvandsbassin og fodbad. God morgenmadsbuffet. Lidt dyr parkering (CHF 20 pr nat), og køkkenudstyr koster ekstra, hvis man vil bruge køkkenet. Vi havde dog taget vores eget med, og det blev ikke kommenteret....

"Very nice hotel. The view from our room was incredible and the room was very large and nice. Essentially an apartment. The hotel has a couple of restaurants we did not make it to and a cool bar with a great view. There is a train station pretty close by, but you do need to go up and down a big hill to get to anything if walking."
