"Booked 3 nights for my employee who is a local girl and currently homeless. The dorm we paid for wasn’t ready when she checked in even though we could book it on Expedia so she was put in separate room. The next day they tried to charge her extra $91 for the room. Spoke to manager Elenora couldn’t see an issue with it even though it was their fault the doem wasn’t available when it should’ve been. "Beautiful location. Right on the beach. The Bure (hut) was dated and well lived in with many repairs and painting over the years. I loved it. It was quaint, the beds were comfy, patio was shaded. Pathway was well lit. If you are looking to be pampered or catered to, don’t look here! If you are looking for basic low key accommodations to relax and read a book this is it. No fancy cocktails or gourmet meals. 3 meals a day and it’s take it or leave it. Portions are plentiful but very basic fare....

"This was by far the best part of my trip, staying here. The food was great, the hostel rooms were clean and comfortable. The 5 bedroom door had great air con to keep it cool at night. Lots of local trips close by. Would go back :)"

"This place was very disappointing. It has the air of a place going out of business. The staff didn't seem to care about the condition of it, and there was a charge for absolutely everything. For a surf camp it was surprising that there was no beach or area to surf by the property. They also didn't seem to be keen to teach surfing it's only for established surfers, which then have to pay $50 a day to surf. The property itself was the biggest let down. "We stayed at the Travellers Beach Resort Hostel for two nights in early March. Our stay was very enjoyable and met people from all over the world. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly. Improvements and updates could be be made, but we would recommend it when in Fiji."
