"This was the perfect traditional Japanese experience with stunning views, wonderful staff and beautiful rooms. The private outdoor onsen bath was perfection with a morning coffee or tea. The public onsen with it’s outdoor area was peaceful and charming in the rain. We had a private shoji screened in dining room each evening and the same wonderful hostess for our greeting, and for both dinner and breakfast. She was so lovely! "The hotel was very clean and quiet! It was hard to hear other people from their rooms which was nice. Staff were polite and helpful. The in-room onsen was so relaxing (and nice that you could add cold water to adjust the temperature to your liking) and the breakfast buffet was great! Our only complaint is that some amenities were unavailable and the air conditioner only goes down to 20 degrees C, just cool enough to be able to sleep at night. We’d be happy to come back again."

"Beautiful property, the private tub was amazing! The dinner was absolutely wonderful, and we were lucky enough to catch their summer concert. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer a free shuttle to their other properties and to Gora station which was extremely helpful. Clean room with plenty of amenities!"
