"Clean rooms with amazing views if you can get high floor. Would definitely recommend asking for room facing away from shinjuku train station as the noise is quite loud, even on high floor (stayed on 28). Soak-in tub and beds are great!"

"Room was incredibly clean and cleaned daily. I didn’t mind it, but in case someone else does, the private room we had, the bathroom had a step that was about a foot off the ground. The bed was big enough for two less than 6 feet tall people, but the mattress is a little stiff. Staff were all incredibly helpful and super kind. Hotel has free WiFi, and was very fast. Kitchen area was easy to use and had a lot of accessibility. Overall though, would stay here again as it is a 20 minute walk to Ueno Station. Very accessible!"

"Small cramped rooms with step up bathroom. A real budget option that is not value for money. Good location but full of cheap tour groups with over an hours wait to check in. We cancelled our 5 night booking after one night and paid a penalty. Definitely not suitable for a family or persons with mobility issues which is not detailed anywhere on the site and is not considered a reason to cancel without penalty."

It is a convenient, less-than-10-minute walk to Ikebukuro Station. • Excellent Upkeep: Rooms are cleaned daily, ensuring a fresh and comfortable stay. • Thoughtful Amenities: Complimentary water and tea are available on every floor—a very nice touch. • Exceptional Service: The staff is consistently polite, professional, and eager to help. Cons • Fixed Climate Control: During my stay in cold weather, the building was set to heating only with no central AC. Because the temperature isn't adjustable, the room became quite hot and stuffy. While opening the window helped cool things down, it did let in street noise. • Traditional Key System: The hotel uses physical keys rather than access cards. Guests are required to return the key to the front desk every time they leave the building, even for a quick trip to a convenience store. Overall Verdict This is a solid choice for travelers who prioritize a fantastic location and great service. However, if you are looking for a sleek, modern hotel with high-tech amenities and individual climate control, this might not be the best fit for you."

"This was the Prime Location!!! A complete mall below the hotel with underground connection to Ikebukuro station. Only a ten minute walk to the train station that has access to all the major parts of Tokyo. We could not have been happier. The room was nice and our view from the 33rd floor was gorgeous. Good shower and tub. Provided our pajamas and fresh linens daily. Even a family mart right next to the elevator. We ate the best ramen of our entire trip only 200m away from the hotel. "

"Absolutely loved how clean and central this location was! It made getting around much easier as someone who has never been to Japan. The train station is across the street which is helpful, but there’s also a lot of stores and restaurants in the same area. Staff were also extremely kind and helpful to interact with. Thank you so much again! I’ll stay here again when I return back to Japan."

"My husband and I had a wonderful time at Dormy Inn Korakuen and look forward to staying here again! The room was clean, staff was very polite and helpful, onsen was relaxing, and breakfast was fresh and delicious every day. There were plenty of washer and dryers to use for laundry and having the manga room to wait in was a nice touch. Free late night ramen and popsicles were also fun. "
