"Feel like you are in a giant "factory" only geared towards hosting people to sleep for 1 night. Impersonal check-in on machines. Elevators are constantly too full. Rooms are small and oddly designed (beds on an uneven platform, a danger for anyone with slight mobility problems). Gym was extremely small (too small for an hotel of that size). Restaurant has a buffer which was a bit pricey and not so good in terms of quality but saved us from trying to find something fairly late at night. it was the most economical hotel so I guess you can ask for much more. However, there are better options for a little bit more money."

"Our stay at the Shangri-La Tokyo was absolutely exceptional and truly set the standard for luxury hospitality. From the moment we arrived, every member of the team made us feel welcome and cared for, and the level of service was simply incredible. A very special thank you to Manisha Khatr, who went far above and beyond during our stay. At one point she even personally walked us to the train station to make sure we got there easily. That level of kindness and attentiveness made a lasting impression on us. We also want to recognize Sanjeev, the breakfast and lunch manager, who ran the morning service with such warmth and professionalism. Breakfast each day was a highlight — the food was fantastic and the service was seamless. Sanjeev made guests feel genuinely welcome and ensured everything ran perfectly. Another standout was Karen on the Horizon Level, who was wonderful throughout our stay. She made the lounge experience feel personal and welcoming, and her attentiveness really elevated the entire experience. The rooms are fabulous — spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail feels thoughtful and luxurious. What impressed us most was how the team genuinely cared about guests’ wellbeing. I had injured my knee during our trip, and without hesitation the staff brought large ice packs to our room at night to help. It was such a thoughtful gesture and just one example of how they went out of their way to help with anything we needed. The location "

"This is the first time we went to a hotel and the staff ask us to upgrade by ourselves. First, we arrived and the hotel is not easy to reach. We need to asked the tourist centre to help before we get there. After we been to the reception, she asked if we wanted to have breakfast because that was not include in our plan. We chose not to have it. Then she stopped talked to us and kept searching from her own files to try to show us that we can have a better room and our rooms have no good view. We were sweating because we can not found the hotel. But we stay there for more than 5 mins just because she wanted to sell us a better room. I can not really understand. I chose the room and compare the other choice at home. I chose what I want and expect. If I would like to have a better view, I might not choose this hotel. And If I want a better room. I would choose and paid while I pick the room. It is not what I expect to experience when I am already at the reception of the hotel. At the end of the check-in. I can feel like that she was impatient because I listened to her and chose nothing from her. We also use the car park at the day we check-out. There are little space than I expect. We will never choose this hotel again. "

"Hotel is great. But since my primary location to go to is at Akihabara, taking an additional one stop to Akihabara would be a factor you will have to consider. But other than that is all great. "
