"Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area."

"My family and I enjoyed our two nights at the lodge. The rooms and the ensuite bathroom are neat (though there was no toilet brush) and have got its own television. The kitchen also has a sitting area to relax, a dinning and its own television, all basic cooking utensils are available. Most importantly the gentle man in charge was reachable, responsive and respectful. If I were to visit Kings Lynn again I'll definitely lodge here."

"We enoyed the doubly “smart” room — both the clean, modern decor and the motion-activated automatic lights for the main stairs (though they take time to come on) and the bathroom (shut the bathroom door when not in use so you don’t trigger those lights when you walk around in your room). Also appreciated the towel warming rack, and the frosted bathroom windows. The room was very comfortable and quiet, as Grimston is a tiny village in a rural area. "The room was exceptionally spacious and full of character. Many hotels are a bit soulless but this is far from the case here. The staff were professional, friendly and always with a smile. I've seen a few reviews have commented on 'hidden charges' - breakfast isn't included but this is clear from the very start and there's no pressure to eat here in the morning. If you do, however, the food is excellent (we had dinner) and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"This was our first time back in over a year since under new management. We had the most lovely breakfast hamper in our room of yogurts , fruit ,museli , fresh milk , honey with tea coffee chocolate & juices. This was so much better for us personally as did not have to rush up to go down to breakfast in the morning giving us a much more relaxed approach to the day ahead . It was replenished if you put your sign on door next morning. I much preferred the layout of the bar area tables & chairs...
