"Characterful thatched inn in countryside location. Comfortable room & good breakfast."

"Plumber Manor is a perfect place to stay if you want a peaceful retreat in beautiful gardens , a comfortable bed and delicious food. It has a well stocked bar and the wine prices are reasonable. The only negative was the wifi was weak in the courtyard room we stayed in which caused ‘buffering’ when watching a film. We mentioned it to staff and it will be rectified. It is a family owned hotel so the service feels personal. Somewhere we would definitely like to return to. There are many...

"It's such a nice place in such a charming area. Their thatched roof looks so very cool. Their staff is just excellent, they all take pride in doing an excellent job. I met the sous chef twice, she and her husband (the chef) make a great team. They have a lovely old bar and I took two friends there for the Sunday roast dinner. They have a good sized parking lot. You won't be at all disappointed."

"Stayed at one of their beautiful and uniquely design luxury bedroom, absolutely loved it. The bar downstairs is great and very cosy, they aeved great choices for breakfast and the staff were helpful and nice. Would stay again."

"Great stay at a great pub with good well priced food, room clean and well maintained. Only problems, finding somewhere to eat Monday night and as a business traveller would have like breakfast to be served a little earlier. Although the breakfast tray was good."

"Excellent all around and lovely staff"

"The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and filling. With tasty bread sausages and bacon. The staff were very helpful. I had to ask for help to switch the shower off as it seemed to get stuck. Unfortunately I was not able to use the pool and sauna as closed for maintenance. That had been what had attracted me to the property in the first place! Great location and easy walk to Gold Hill."

"We had 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay, it is a quirky cottage in the country but close to several towns, hosts were excellent and cottage very well thought out"

"This property was clean and well presented"

"we had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to returning again."

"We stayed at the Brace of Pheasants for one night and it was really lovely. The room was big, airy and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was lovely. We ate dinner in the pub and it was absolutely delicious. I am coeliac and Matt, the owner, was very knowledgeable when helping me to decide what to have. There were several choices for me and I can thoroughly recommend the lamb. My husband was on crutches when we stayed and the staff were very thoughtful and...

"Stunning location, nice little cottage and very attentive hosts. Attentive, but not overly so!"

"Lovely quiet spot, great for having a drink in the garden after a day out. Pet friendly which was great. The dog was able to stay in the room and go in the bar too which was nice. Unfortunately the room was not very clean. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The skirting boards hadn't been touched. The bathroom was clean but not a deep clean level as there was dust and grime around the toilet. The towels were plentiful and clean. The bedding was clean but the divan itself had a stain as...

"Really enjoyed our stay. Also had dinner which was tasty. Breakfast was a little leisurely for us which would have been fine if we had more time."

"Nice 300 year old cottage in the countryside. Modern kitchen and extension also nice. Small garden suitable for a dog. Owners were responsive to questions."

"Just the absolute tops! -Cleanliness? Tops. -Spaciousness? Tops. -Check in? Tops. -Amenities? Tops. -View, surroundings, and parking? Tops. TOPPERMOST OF THE POPPERMOST"

"Snowdrop cottage is located in a small, quiet village. Good location for exploring the area. Snowdrop was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Highly recommend."
