"The room was fine. Built in 1904 so it is what you would suspect. Pool was full of leaves. The caretaker greeted us and told us she would prepare breakfast (frittatas etc) for us and we would eat around 8:30am-9:00am. We were downstairs around 8:30 and no sight of anyone. You can’t call it a bed and...

"I highly recommend this staycation. I was greeted by the owner and given a historic tour of the property . The facility was very clean and cozy, no orders or smells. I especially love the porch with the rocking chairs. It close at the historic district with restaurants for breakfast within walking distance. "Great hotel with authentic character and charm. This is a historical property so don't expect the latest amenities, but the staff were very friendly and served a great breakfast. I look forward to staying at the Spencer House again."

"ONE negative comment is the BED situation in our room. The springs are completely worn out. Recommend making sure all the beds and mattresses are updated for the most comfortable sleeping accommodations! Everything else was awesome!
Thank you"
