"Room wasn’t fully clean when I arrived. You should note there are no windows in the hotel so natural light and seeing what the weather is like isn’t an option. Nice arrival touch with matcha and free coffee but it’s a very basic hotel. The room itself wasn’t at all clean. Stains by the toilet which meant I needed to pop a mat down as it felt unhygienic using it. A very wobbly tap sink. Stains on the furniture and walking out of your room you were treated with dirty laundry and horrible smells....

"The Ace Hotel is in a great location, on a quieter street yet with many restaurants and shops and museums walking distance away, including the busy Nishiki Market. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff were very polite, helpful, attentive and welcoming!! There is a Stumptown Cafe on the ground floor which we used every morning for coffee and pastry. (There was coffee in he room as well) We did not try the restaurants in the hotel, since they were not typically Japanese and we dined in...

"There is no hot tub at the hotel. They were doing some sort of flooring Reno in the stairwell that released noxious fumes into the hall. Staff were pleasant. Location is great. "
