Room was clean and comfortable. The whole place lacked attention to detail and with a couple of exceptions staff could have been more engaged and helpful. Information to get around the hotel would have been helpful

Lovely location and hotel is very peaceful and quiet. Lovely breakfast and staff friendly and helpful. Only negatives were that in the spa the steam room thermostat is not working properly- no steam coming out and the jacuzzi was not hot. Spa and in standard rooms - toiletries are minimal please could you supply hair conditioner. A plug next to the bedside would be handy to plug phones in

Amazing breakfast, rest could be updated.

One night stay. Family room, two double beds. Mattress could give more support and the pillows are big and flumpy. Not our preference, but he ho. Kids loved the pool, and breakfast is amazing. Final finishing detail decorating wise is lacking some, rough cutting of floor in bathroom and more. Amazing staff all through.

Lovely hotel. Room was clean and staff were friendly. But the door by the lift, located just outside our room, was extremely squeaky. Not sure who was walking around at 3 a.m., but the noise kept me up all night. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sleep well because of it. Hopefully it'll be fixed!!

Worth the stay!

Dunston Hall was a beautiful stay. Friendly staff (especially Sally at the front desk), comfortable beds and quiet. I love historic hotels, so this definitely fit the bill. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay

The place itself is stunning and staff are very friendly. The grandeur of the buildings and grounds creates an amazing ambience and this is complimented by the reception, dining areas and rooms. Was last here a good few years ago, and they have only refined their beautiful hotel.

This is the second time we're staying at the Dunston Hall. We liked the room (King double), which was much nicer than the classic double we booked last time. Breakfast is good, although it got quite hectic and chaotic on both days. Some of the staff were helpful and friendly.

We went to Dunston Hall for a weekend break and we were not disappointed. Our room was lovely and everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations. If there was one small criticism it was that our double bed, though individually comfortable, was made up of two singles of different heights! This led to my wife waking up with back pain due to ending up laying across the joint!

East Anglia trip.

Second stay at the hotel, and a pleasant couple of night. Great to see a hotel with EV charging points making the trip around East Anglia and back to Cheshire an easier exercise. Hotel is clean and spacious and rooms good, except no glasses in room for water. Spa and pool great and breakfast was well covered for all peoples requirements.

We've stayed at Dalmahoy twice now & its still our favourite accommodation in Edinburgh. We've stayed once as a couple & now with a young child & the facilities & activities the staff set up is wonderful. All so accommodating with kids. The facilities such as the pool & restaurants/bars are fantastic. If you dont feel comfortable with driving into the city, buses come every 10mins or so & go straight in.

We loved how this is genuinely a family friendly trip. We didn't feel uncomfortable with our kids having fun. There's good soundproofing between the rooms, the only place there's a tiny bit of noise leakage is through the door which is very normal in any hotel! We had fun in the swimming pool and the breakfast had a good selection so the kids enjoyed it and that made our lives easier. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and good with kids. We found the location perfect for day trips to BeWilderwood, Roarr and about 40mins to see the seals on the beach. There's a new bug zoo nearby too and Norwich castle but we didn't make it there. We had a brilliant time.
