Facilities were good and clean for price. Staff friendly and helpful. Only issue was getting hot water/ shower to work which was resolved by staff.

Basic room but spotlessly clean , decent facilities and friendly staff . Bonus of a free breakfast too , could not fault it for the price . Would return .

This is very basic and quite dated accommodation, but it does the basic job. It is quiet, has good hot water and shower, the bed was okay and the room was warm. As an example, the lights flicker when they come on in the bathroom and they are fluorescent, but they work perfectly well. The room had good towels and shampoo/soap, and basic coffee/tea making facilities, but no other facilities such as hair dryer. The price is fair for basic accommodation and the countryside around is attractive and worth visiting, although the immediate location is a roadside service area.

Comfortable, easy to park and very friendly staff
A clean hotel with spacious rooms and a comfortable bed, add that to easy parking and its the ideal contractors stop over. The staff are all very friendly and always around. The breakfast has been worked out to be a quick easy help yourself start to the day, with enough choice to be as good as a cooked breakfast without the wait. Will be staying here again

It is good value for its price, better than well known competitors in the area. There were a few minor probs the staff were really polite and professional in putting things right.

Better extras than a travelodge
Seems to be an old travelodge building/business that has been taken over. This said it is being run a lot better than travelodge do with great little extras.

Redwings is a cheap budget hotel on the edge of the Village of Mocott off the A47. It looks like an X travelodge. Parking is convenient immediately outside. The rooms are a little tired with basic amenities. TV was working OK. The shower was hot and powerful. The WiFI only works in the centre of the hotel and drops out in the far rooms. Electric wall heater bearly adequate on the frosty nights. Breakfast is provided in the price but is fairly basic. For around £40 per night you cannot get much cheaper.

Good stopover
If you only want a bed, shower and light breakfast without paying for stuff your not going to use, then this is the place. No frills, nice staff, outdoor seating. Very pleasant.

Pleasant people but dated room showing signs of wear(bath and washbasin in particular). Small dated heater takes awhile to heat the room. TV appears to be tuned in Spanish!? A novelty to have microwave, toaster and hot drinks urn in the foyer to help yourself 24 hours a day! Quiet to say it's on a major road and an excellent Indian restaurant/bar next door. Good carparking.

All staff were really friendly while staying at the lodge. Explained about where to park and where NOT to park ie NOT in restaurant parking bays which is next door. Continental breakfast adequate. Bedroom; Need to show more attention to cleaning, vacuuming carpets, skirting boards, moving beds, chair material very stained. Bed comfortable. Clean bed linen and towels. Bathroom; Not very clean. Black mould around bath and taps. Rusted tap’s and shower head. Window locks on handles broken. We chose this lodge as we were attending a wedding in the location.

One night business trip
Large room with private bathroom and shower, TV and coffee/tea making facilities. Located near the main trunk road between Peterborough and Leicester near a small village, there is an Indian restaurant next door with very nice food. The hotel provides a cold buffet breakfast in the morning with cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit and croissants and is available from 6.00am An enjoyable one night stay for business

We chose this as an overnight stopover on a long journey and it was fine for that purpose. The staff were helpful and the room was clean. Breakfast was help yourself to cereal and toast or croissants. The only downside was the parking as there were imited spaces (we were advised not to park on the spaces for the restaurant next door as they issue fines). It was basic, but good value for a short stay.

The bed dipped in the middle and was very uncomfortable, the toilet door was stuck so needed to be pushed very forcefully to get out, and the lock was hanging, the toilet seat was very wobbly and you nearly ended up on the floor, the whole room needed maintence.

Parking - care needs to be taken to ensure you park in the right place. The neighbours are aggressive and apply a £100 fine for every 90 minutes if parked illegally.

Comfortable place to stay friendly and helpful staff. The room we stayed in recently had new carpet layed which enhanced the room but I think the bathroom could be given a bit of TLC and then that room would be really good. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Room could do with a spruce. The sofa bed was ripped on the cushions and arms, chair near the TV was broken. Make sure you get top floor as bottom floor you get more noise from above. If no parking spaces then you park on the grass. Breakfast you sit where you come into the entrance for reception which I didn't really like. Should be a separate area. People shouldn't be allowed to smoke near the entrance either, should be a separate area. Rooms for the price you get what you pay for! Not exactly the Ritz.

The staff are lovely and welcoming. The room, alhough basic, was exactly what we wanted in terms of cleanliness and size (family room). Pleasant calm atmosphere within. Really good, free continental breakfast sets you up nicely for the day. We frequent this hotel usually three times a year and it is ideal for our purposes. Rutland Water is just a few miles away and the surrounding countryside is marvellous for safe family cycling.
