"I would recommend people absolutely avoid this place until they do major renovations and management change. It's a vintage beauty with stunning views and nearby attractions-- but it's heavily neglected by the owners and staff, and may be in a dangerous area.
The host was talking with a hooded figure in the lobby who would just sit there and watch us guests-- they weren't in a uniform or anything, just a hoodie and staring at us. The host questioned if I was even myself on my own ID, and was extremely nonchalant about room key card malfunctions-- I needed three replacements across 2 days, and it always took about 15 minutes to get ahold of anyone at the desk before 8 AM or after 5 PM.
The room itself was covered in a thick layer of dust; drawers broken and filled with lost items. There was a kitchenette, but on my second day I heard rodents above the fan in the ceiling. The sliding door for the porch could barely open due to the grime. The bath faucet didn't even work. And to top it all off, there was a barrage of gunshots in the middle of the night that cleared out the shopping center across the street.
The convenient walk to the beach is amazing. The vintage charm is appreciated. But EVERYTHING ELSE makes this place an actual HAZARD in its current state."
