"The breakfast definitely seemed underrated for a Marriott. Unlimited selection all just heated up things or frozen things. Very mid."

"Front desk staff ( Caroine) were pleasant, professional and helpful. Overall, this property offers the business/ casual travellers a great location in downtown Norfolk with easy access to waterfront activities, nearby parking, convention spaces, a terrace pool, and limited dining but with better choices nearby. Loss of MacArthur Mall is a significant blow to the downtown vibrancy. And time has exacted its toll on the property which needs cosmetic attention in virtually all areas."

This was an experience from the moment I walked in and read the book entitled “Bunny” which made you feel like you were being let in on the secrets of the family behind the founding and establish a deeper appreciation of the arts of Glass Work. "They need to work on the parking. When returning from an event, I had to wait close to an hour for the valet to get to me because he was the only one on shift and had to move several cars to get our car in. His name is Alex so I end up getting in my room late from the event, but everything else worked out well."

"The building and the staff were great! Such a cute property and a really nice room. Only downside was that it was pretty loud due to traffic noise outside (and an early morning party in the parking lot next door). But the staff and amenities were really top notch, and breakfast was very tasty both days!"

"It was a very nice hotel, very clean, wonderful staff, the restaurant has very good food. The only minor drawback in our experience was breakfast, the buffet (only food option available) is set up in a way those not wanting an omelette have to wait in the same line to get the rest of the food available. It was very slow. Again good food though!"

"There was an amazing amount of beverages and snack items available near the front desk. Anything from cold sodas and water to wine and beer could be purchased. The breakfast was fine. There were pancakes, toast, bagels, and premade omelets and bacon. Not a lot of choices but enough to start your day. I’d stay here again because of close proximity to Norfolk airport."

"When I got to my room it was so dirty that I had to get the clerk to move me to another room. I walk into the second room and it’s rice all on the floor. I open up the microwave and it’s a plate of food that had been in there for days .The air conditioner only worked on 1 temperature, so I will never go back there."
