"This is a great place to stay. The house and the grounds are pretty and well maintained.
The staff are great and casual and friendly and professional. Breakfast always yummy. The setting is like a restaurant so you don’t have to chat if you don’t want. My last stay we somehow all started chatting. Folks from Utah, Georgia, Oregon. It was nice. They have coffee and tea set out most of the day and offer a glass of wine in the evening.
Rooms are all sizes and shapes. Bathrooms are clean anhave...

"What can I say, we had an amazing time and Isabel was a fantastic host. She even makes freshly baked cookies daily (Tip: beg her to make the banana chocolate chip ones. Tip 2: If we happen to be there when you are, you better get ‘em fast. We had no shame lol). Our room, the Sea Rose, was incredible. We loved the all glass outdoor patio. What else? The chefs were fantastic, breakfast was excellent, and everyone greeted you with a smile. We’ll definitely be back."

"This hotel has a lovely old fashion charm to it. Each room seems to be completely unique and furnished with interesting antiques. It is very quiet. My room (6) had a window AC unit and ceiling fan as well as a TV with a built in DVD player to be able to watch their huge collection of DVDs. It overlooks the water in Wheeler and is very close to lots of fun things to see."

"La Bastide was an excellent choice for a recent trip to Oregon! Breakfast is absolutely delicious, the patio was a wonderful place to enjoy in the mornings, and Mark provided excellent conversation. Elizabeth was so helpful in grabbing a bottle of wine for us one evening as well as an HDMI cord so we could watch a movie through our laptop. Fantastic location, highly recommend!"

"We stayed in the cottage because the main estate was booked. The main disappointment was that there was a coffee pot and filters but no coffee. Everything else was great! They had a dinner event the 1 night we stayed and the staff was very busy."
