My one complain was the overall design of the building. First, like us, everyone had to drive around both sides of the building to find the office which is in the back. Signage would have been nice. "Really nice property and very helpful staff. Area around the hotel is pretty, with lots of places to sit and watch the geese. Rooms are okay--be sure to get a "suite" or a double, as the single rooms are very small. Bathing facilities are pretty rudimentary--could use a shower seat or a bathtub. "We’ve stayed at several properties in the Greenport area and this was our first time at Silver Sands; we loved it! The rooms were updated, clean and cute. The beach access was a huge plus, as well as on site restaurants. They don’t charge for parking (as some hotels nearby are starting to do) and the location is central to Greenport Village and the wineries. We went for an anniversary trip and stayed in the motel section but would definitely come back with the kids and try out the bungalows!...
