"This property is GORGEOUS and in the right are: not too in the thick of tourism, but not completely out of it. My gripe is with Wonderful Italy in general and the impossibly slow or broken internet at the property. Upon arriving to Ortegia two hours prior to check-in, the team was TERRIBLE at communicating. "The location of the property is great - close walk to the centre of Ortigia and a sea view. Don't be fooled by the photos - the terrace is not connected to any of the rooms and is accessed via the rooftop. Rooms with sea view have a small window only. Decor is very dated and fixtures are old but beds are clean and comfortable. There is an elevator. Breakfast is ok compared to what we had at other hotels. continental only. Would not pay for it if it wasn't included. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Beautiful hotel, breakfast spread was brilliant and room extremely clean. Staff were all so lovely and attentive. We had a great first afternoon at the pool bar and were very well looked after by a young man who went above and beyond - sorry we did not catch his name."

"Our first room had a problem with the air conditioning and they graciously provided an alternative. We checked in with an extra guest and they accommodated us. Then the host helped our daughter find transportation to the airport. I erroneously had us checking out one day early and they were able to add an extra day for us. I cannot say enough about Gabriella and her excellent English and absolute kindness. We gave this hotel every chance to make this trip stressful but they were not having it! 10/10!"

"It is located in a perfect area, however parking close by is $1.50 an hour. Room was rather small, and shower leaked all over the floor. All common area are unairconditioned, all though each guest room has AC ( they will turn it off when they make up your room ). Breakfast just ok - nothing special. Would I stay there again - probably not as it really is a sweat box."

"Great location in the old town and wonderful little hotel. Rooms were v clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated on a little pedestrianised lane containing numerous shops and restaurants. We were recommended a fish restaurant a few meters away and it was excellent. Staff there v helpful in choosing wines to match our food. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. They arranged for car parking and notifying authorities about waiving fees for entering old town."
