"It would've been a solid 4- the room we stayed in was immaculately clean, I loved the cute tatami mats and the high view. It was a little annoying having to go all the way to the 2nd floor every time we needed amenities such as face wash, but that's just because in comparison, all the other hotels we stayed in already had them stocked in the rooms.
The rampant mold in the woman's spa is what got me; this was the last hotel we stayed in and compared to all the 4+ star hotels we'd be in, this was the only one with mold. It's already somewhat a vulnerable experience being stark naked around other strangers, but the gleaming clean tiles and steamy clear water of the other spas I'd been to had gradually won my trust over. This one nuked what the others built. The tiles were slimy, I have mold allergies that were immediately triggered, I felt less clean walking out than when I walked in. That plus the trim (but polite enough) staff and the supposed free parking (it was always full and closed so we had to pay $200+ at the parking lot nearby to keep our car overnight, when we specifically picked this place because it advertises free parking) ranks it somewhere around a 3.5-3.8 for me. I paid less at other hotels that were much cleaner with much more hospitable staff, I felt like I was being watched or they were waiting for me to do something so they could stop me the whole time I was there. Also not much to do around the area, that could be a plus if you just want peace and quiet."
