"Booked a one night stay as meeting up with a group of friends for a night out in Newark. My (standard) room was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The bar/dining area was very cosy with local beers (Pheasantry) on draught. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay and the breakfast was superb. Excellent value for money - highly recommended!"

"A lovely stay. A beautiful building and immaculate cosy room. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was huge. A great view of the canal. Right in the centre of Newark and easy to access. Parking is allocated per room and validated via an app...building work was happening so my space wasn't signed, but the builders were really helpful. The outside was in need of a bit of a tidy up, but it is Autumn. "

"Lovely place to stay- self contained accommodation with walk in shower, cloakroom, and generous bedroom. Room was cleaned daily. Lovely outdoor spaces, set in medieval Grantham. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We ate at the Piggy Bank which was about 5 mins walk away. 100% would stay again."

When I reached Damon's, the reception member of staff quickly realised I was physically disabled and immediately changed my room for a ground floor room to make things easier for me. "The rating was given for two star hotel. This is a motel style, very, very simple. Service was good, the room was relatively clean. We stayed only one night, so we just needed a place where we could sleep. It was a good place to stay for the money paid. "
