"I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude. We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking....

"We booked a balcony room overlooking the harbour with our dog. The staff on reception were wonderful. In our room there was a doggy welcome gift, treats toy poop bags. The room was large and comfortable. Robes slippers and a fan. We should have prebooked a table in the pub as it was busy, and dogs not allowed in the gorgeous restaurant, so thankfully we sat outside. Food and views were great. Close enough to stroll into town. "the day before i emailed and asked to confirm if the electric car charger was working, told response would be 24 hours, no reply. got to the hotel and looked very dated, then i was told one out of the two rooms was not ready as the was busy with a wedding the day before, so went to one room and paint falling off the ceiling, very dated and floor boards squeaked and rocked. went back to the receptions and asked if i could cancel our rooms and get a full refund, i was told the manager would not...

"Gorgeous location overlooking the sea and across road from sea. Peole snorkeling About 15 mins walk from the centre. Lovely quaint rooms and nice tea and coffee. Very safe area. But note if you are back after ten you have to take you key with heavy tag on or wait for ages for someone to let you in"

"Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung. Das Hotel hätte sehr viel Potential. Ist wunderschön gelegen und hat charme. Leider ist es wirklich in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt dadurch teilweise etwas ungepflegt. Am Morgen um 8 Uhr stand unangekündigt jemand vor unserem Fenster und hat die Fenster geputzt. Ein doch eher unangenehmes erwachen. Ansonsten ist das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The only downside was the condition of the tennis courts. We specifically looked for a hotel with a tennis court and the photos on the website looked great. Unfortunately the courts seem to have been neglected. Only one had a net and the surface was really not safe to play on. I think the misleading photos need removing from the website, or the courts need attention. Other than that we had a great stay. The gym and pool areas are great."
