"I liked that the hotel rang me 1x week prior to my stay to make sure I was happy and to remind me of everything they have to offer so that I could book in advance. The staff were extremely friendly and took time to make sure I was well looked after even thought they had a wedding to attend to on the day of our arrival. The breakfast was brilliant with plenty of options and the location and ability to take in the views from the hotel was perfect "

"Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it. "The views from our bedroom were amazing, we had a room at the back away from the road. The staff were very helpful and when I had to complain about my steak they sorted it. The rest of the food was well cooked, they did have a few choices on the menu not available, which wasn’t great. Our room was clean, the only real issue I had was the bathroom, it needed updating and there was mould on the ceiling. The shower was very powerful and lots of hot water."
