Allow me to address your concerns:We don’t claim onsite parking, there parking directly out the front and 100 yds away in a free carpark: The heating appears to be working perfectly well for the other guest and in the room you had. Breakfast staff were there for the free breakfast between 8am and 9am, you didn’t come for it until after 9am when it had finished. The front door. Room door and back gate entrance have been checked and are all functioning as they should.

Thank you for your review. Our complimentary breakfast is limited, but it’s free. We do have some ability to change it about, such as scrambled egg on toast etc, you just need to ask the staff. Unfortunately it is a very old listed building, and there are limits as to what can be done in terms of internal alterations.

Thank you for your review. The night of your stay, there was free entertainment, it’s so so thing we offer occasionally and we find often guests appreciate it and join in. We do have street frontage and with several pubs there, and houses, people do gather and chat, and unfortunately smoke.

You certainly were not happy here, unfortunately we cannot find an issue with some of the things you were unhappy with.The taps were working when checked before your arrival and seem to be working today, The noise you complained about, from another room, other adjacent guests couldn’t hear, so it’s hard to say what that was. I’m sorry we couldn’t move you to 2 adjacent rooms, when you asked upon arrival, but you were one of the last to book and those 2 rooms were all that was available.

We corresponded by email before your arrival and explained that we couldn’t offer an alternative to our free breakfast, you were also offered the option to cancel your room, as it did appear to be an issue for you, which we completely understood. All our fans were indeed in use, unfortunately, but this weather is somewhat unusual and people are finding it uncomfortable generally. The person taking your payment did make a mistake and you also missed it when using the card to pay. It was spotted immediately by the staff member, when completing the transaction and the refund was done there and then.

Thank you for your comments. We do have a later licence for music and opening over bank holidays and some guests do expect it, being a longer weekend than usual. Unfortunately some guests do prefer the quiet and it’s worth checking with venues before booking if that’s what you require.
