"This little place bucks the trend where other establishments are failing and has charm in abundance. From entry to exit, everything is just done right. "Although only 10 minutes from Stonehaven it was ideally situated in the beautiful Kincardine countryside. Room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was whatever you wanted and the bonus for us was that the plum tree in the garden was groaning with fruit. Owner picked some delicious plums for us. If we're back in the area well certainly consider Crawfield Grange as the #1 place to stay. "

"We have stayed at The Boat Inn at least 5 times now. We just keep coming back! A very professional set up and extremely comfortable. Staff so obviously want you to have a good time and will do all they can to ensure that you do. Rooms are very clean and beds so comfortable. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, though it would have been good to see more vegetarian options on the menu. Breakfast is excellent. Aboyne is a very good base for exploring Deeside, Speyside , Stonehaven and Donside...

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location, nestled in its own tree filled garden, was relaxing and the hotel itself still retained the charm of the family home it was. We ate in the restaurant: the food was excellent, plenty of choice for two vegetarians like us, and the staff were very helpful. We also tried some cocktails which were also excellent. Our stay was relaxing, enjoyable and good value for money."

"Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. "

"Room was clean and very comfortable. Loved that we even had a record player and albums in the room. Set up like a little efficiency apartment but cool decor. Bar staff were nice, food and drinks delicious. Very walkable area. Parking was not available at property, must park in parking garage. "
