"Photos give a very different impression to the reality. Building is very tired and was locked when we arrived early afternoon. Room was extremely small, with a very tiny en-suite. No curtains only blinds on the window meant that we were woken early by the early morning sun. Property is on a very busy, noisy road."

The spa / leisure centre is also very good but is ran by a seperate company to the main hotel which why it might explain it is better ran than the main hotel. "We only stayed two nights and did not use the restaurant or any other facilities, so I can only review things to a limited extent. The venue looks impressive from the outside but is obviously a conference venue so is lacking character inside - not a criticism but an observation. The king-bed room was clean and spacious but the shower was hit-and-miss regarding temperature (my partner ended up having a cold shower and yet my shower was fine).
