Just off the 276 in the Pisgah Forest in North Carolina lies the Looking Glass Falls. Very easily accessible, it is a favorite destination and gets quite crowded. Hence it is advisable to get here early in the morning.
This shot was taken during my Fall trip to the mountains. There's not much foliage around the waterfall, especially with this composition. But the surrounding rocks do add some nice warmth, especially with the sun rising directly behind the waterfall.
The nearby town of Brevard is a very nice town with lots of eating joints. There is a coffee shop there called Quotations that is a must stop on a cold day. Best cappuccino I've ever had.

A wonderfully different waterfall that is very easy to reach. The trail to it is only about 1/2 mile and is relatively flat.
