"Lovely building and very close to town centre, all the staff are lovely - friendly and helpful. Our room was ok but not as clean as it should have been, only 1 set of towels on arrival, shower gel was empty. All got resolved though as soon as I requested. We hung up our towels to re-use but they were changed each day. Free bottled water provided each day and good tea and coffee set up. Bed was comfortable. "Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. "The Hand Hotel was ok. It was simply an overnight stop off whilst doing Offa’sDyke walk. A bit tired and dated but at the price, we couldn’t complain"

"We used the spa which was lovely, everywhere was clean and tidy could have done with a refresh on the bed head board , staff very good, breakfast a bit disappointing as it was in pots to keep warm , which sort of steamed everything"

"Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. I appreciated the welcome gifts and hospitality from the hosts too. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area."
