The Fairmont Mayakoba is the best resort that I've ever been to. The vibe of the resort is peaceful and relaxing. The staff were incredibly helpful before I even arrived, helping me reserve dinners at the restaurants, my excursions and my spa appointment. They remained attentive throughout my stay. The resort is beautiful and the restaurants and other amenities were the highest quality. I strongly recommend the all-inclusive option so you can fully enjoy the restaurants. Thank you to Rocio, Rodolfo, Miguel, Alexa, Dayana, Miguel and the rest of the staff who made my vacation so wonderful.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable luxury experience at Fairmont Mayakoba Our stay at Fairmont Mayakoba was simply exceptional from start to finish. The property is breathtaking—surrounded by lush mangroves, canals, and pristine beachfront that feels both private and serene. The service truly stands out. Every staff member was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel valued at every moment. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, blending modern comfort with natural elegance. Dining was another highlight. The variety of restaurants offered high-quality cuisine with incredible flavors, and the presentation was always top-tier. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner—everything exceeded expectations. The amenities are world-class: relaxing pools, a stunning beach, spa services, and activities for both adults and kids. It’s the perfect destination whether you’re traveling as a couple, with family, or for a special occasion. Overall, Fairmont Mayakoba delivers a true 5-star experience. My family had a fabulous time staying at Fairmont. We thought the food was very very good & loved the design of the resort. I went during Easter/Spring break and felt that the resort was spread out enough to provide guests more than enough space to enjoy the property without feeling like there’s too many people. It felt like a luxury stay but the vibe can still be casual. The beach pool was never busy. I was so surprised. That was nice. We visited Banyan Tree and the new Alila property and while I admired both of them for their unique qualities, I’m very happy we chose Fairmont. I loved the canals and bike paths and the much more mature/developed nature of the landscaping since this resort was the first one built and has been established longer. Nothing felt old or outdated. The Delux King Casita Suite was lovely. Very spacious. The butler was a nice touch. We booked reservations ahead of time but honestly, it seemed like we didn’t even need a resy once we showed up. Some times it felt like we had the place to ourselves which felt so nice

Exceptional stay! Super clean rooms and grounds, great cocktails, beautiful well kept grounds, delicious food (better than any other all inclusive resort) incredible nature, all green around, and most importantly top service. Breakfast buffet was OK, when it was hosted in the Italian restaurant the options were underwhelming, when it was moved to its main location (Mexican restaurant?) it got better but was still just OK. I also wish they had more activities for kids (outside of kids club). But these are just minor things. Would definitely stay again!

A mixed review. Some of the staff are exceptional and go above and beyond - they work extremely hard in a busy/challenging environment. Beautiful setting also. However, we were overrun by those attending an event at the conference centre and our experience was negatively impacted as a result - bar areas closed off. Reduced staff. No wait list system operated for diving/activities so my husband very nearly missed out because of a last minute late booking despite the fact that he had been in contact with the hotel 3 months prior and as soon as he arrived - had he not argued about it he wouldn’t have got to go diving. The food at the beach restaurant was terrible. Others in our group paid extra for a lagoon view and didn’t get one (due to the big booking). Prior guests leftover dinner (mouldy) left in room fridge. Mini bar not provided until asked (even though we were all inclusive). Surprise extra charges at the spa. No details of what is/isnt included in all inclusive provided as check-in. Overall it has the potential to be incredible but they need more staff, particularly when hosting conferences so as to not make paying holiday guests feel like second rate citizens. It’s was not a cheap holiday - I expected more.
