"Been coming for years. Service has gone down . Princess went up .. had to complain multiple times . Broken spa . Closed restaurants we had reservations at . Bad communication between staff to customer . Was always on top of service till recently. Even workers discreetly agreed with our complaints and what tell us to complain to higher management and they have noticed the level went down since change of staff in February. "We love this hotel and have stayed here three times. We deeply regret their decision to become an all inclusive this Spring. Puerto Vallarta is a great place to go out to eat and enjoy the town, we are not interested in staying in the hotel all the time or paying for food we wont eat. "I stayed here about 3 years ago and enjoyed better than. I was excited about the restaurant but the food was very under par. I did not complete any meal I had. The shore line is a rough one and they don’t keep maintain it to make it easier on guests, even though now there is a “beach club”. Housekeeping was horrible. Pillow case had something scary on it, no clean glasses and floors were disgusting. Would not go back again :("

Do be aware that there are a lot of stairs in and out of the hotel if you want to walk around Zona Románica. I welcomed the challenge but it might not be so easy for folks with limited mobility. "This is a cute boutique hotel in the midst of bigger, fancier hotels. Very clean, and incredibly helpful staff, and they've thought of everything that might be useful in a small hotel room (coffee maker, coffee, microwave, mini-fridge, closet and drawers, etc.) My only small complaint is that it feels like a strange place to save money to ration water in a town where the drinking water is unsafe--I would encourage them to reconsider that. Complaint made, there is a Kiosko very close by, so...

"We liked the view very much. We didn’t like that the first and last days we were there we didn’t have air conditioning. There are too many stairs and an elevator is needed, we spent a lot of money on taxis to go up and down from the hotel because a taxi is the only way to do it."
