"Unfortunately it was not an enjoyable stay and the staff were not interested. The beds were clean but that was about it. Windows, wall skirting, ceilings all dirty, stained and lots of cobwebs. Breakfast was okay. We have no water pressure so the shower went cold very quickly. Then would be warm again one there was a bit of pressure. On the second day we had no water at all because they were "watering the potatoes" so they stopped and repressurised the boiler! We were on the second floor. We...

"A great one night stay on my way up to Scotland. Fabulous hospitality and made to feel very welcome. Had a peaceful night's sleep. Janice cooks a mean omelette for breakfast and enjoyed my packed lunch. Lovely estuary walking and lots of nature reserves in the area. Would stay again if in the area."

"The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. "The location of the hotel is excellent with great walks along the river. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Some maintenance was needed to windows in our room and the corridor, with external painting needed, however otherwise our room was fine. All staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient - really good service. The restaurant menu was excellent.
