"The Laindons B&B offers an amazing experience. The room was very spacious and comfortable and our hosts had thought of everything a guest could possibly need and more. The included breakfast was wonderful home cooking and the owners are incredible, being engaging and extremely considerate. I will absolutely return to Hastings and when I do will only consider staying at the Laindons. I cannot imagine finding better."

"This is the rare 5-star B&B that actually earns its rating. The house is a beautiful, art filled home where attention is paid to every detail. " I had a lovely stay at Senlac Hotel in Hastings. While the building and décor are slightly dated and I had a room with shared bathroom and toilet facilities, everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. "Staff were friendly and the property itself exudes vintage elegance. Unfortunately our room (Room 5 on ground floor) smelt extremely strongly of damp, so we didn't unpack any belongings. Despite opening windows and airing the room, there remained a very strong smell. There is obviously a long-term damp problem with this room which the owners should really get fixed."

"After a long drive From Bristol and sorting through things after a bereavement, I found Grand Hotel very welcoming. The Manager Pete was very understanding to our situation. He made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We were in room 18 overlooking the beach and sea, the amnesties basic, kettle tea coffee etc, bathroom was equally good and clean. I can’t fault this hotel. Easy parking till 10am will be definitely be recommending the Hotel to Family and Friends. "

"The room (room 4) was wonderful; very clean and had everything we needed. Very friendly and pleasant staff. The entrance is a little off-putting- it looks a bit shabby and doesn't convey the quality of the rooms. Also, breakfast wasn't until 9.00 on Sunday, which is inconvenient if you have to leave sharpish. We mentioned this to the manager, so there may be changes in the future."
