"The whole place is stunning, staff are friendly & very helpful. Stayed here a few times & has been great every time. Sports bar is normally great for food & drinks, only thing I could possibly complain about was the lack of options for food in The Bunker. They ran out of Pizzas on my last visit & it was basically a choice of a Burger or a Burger! Apart from that this is beautiful place to stay."

"Great 2 night stay, slight issue with Expedia which Tony sorted out for us swiftly, great service and a fantastic room, luxurious pillows and bedding/mattress so slept so well and didn’t hear any outside noise. The room has loads of technology if you want to use it. The aircon was a great extra and was lovely and quiet.The breakfast was really good, loads of choice and quality food. "Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Restaurant was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner in the main dining room (did not try the other restaurant with the tasting menu). Stayed with wife and son in connecting rooms. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. "

"Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "

"Very pleased with our visit to Ascot House. The owner was very friendly and informative. The room was lovely,the bed and bedding excellent and the bathroom was superb. The breakfast each day was very tasty and the food cooked to order. The location was also excellent. Just over 10 minutes walk into York and a bus stop just down the road. Car park at Ascot House available but sometimes full. However parking allowed on side road so no problem. "

"We had a comfortable stay at this property for 4 nights. The location is quite convenient and walkable from the railway station. There are several fast food joints in walkable distance.
