"We had such a delightful stay at the Channel Road Inn in Santa Monica. The room, the staff, the location, and the amenities were all perfect. We felt genuinely cared for by the staff, the property had places to eat and visit in the shade outdoors, and the included breakfast was so clearly made with love. "Beautiful and convenient hotel. My complaints are the cost of amenities. First is the valet parking $75/day, then was the 20% “gratuity”. It’s not a gratuity if it’s mandatory for all checks. Then in the room I find that basic internet is $15/day. The room price is reasonable but extras are crazy expensive. Oh yes our dinner of 2 cocktails, 2 beers, pasta and fish’ n chips at $156 was shocking."
