Welcome etc very good and friendly.
Shower, bed and warmth good.
Parking and after hours access to the building were excellent.
The room hadn't been cleaned. Dirty soap dishes, rubbish in 2 of the drawers, bits on the floor.
Way too noisy. Bed was very uncomfortable. Ended up leaving after an hour or two of being there

Overall update
Stay was plush not so great, looked like they were not ready for me when I arrived was first taken to a dirty and cold room then changed to a better one which overhead main light was not working heating not working. Looks like they are still revamping a lot of work and improvements needed. At least have coffee facilities in the rooms should be considered I think.
Rooms are a good size, the Reception lady was very nice behaved professionally did her best to make my stay bearable and comfortable she was very helpful.
Place needs a lot of touch ups should have a proper laundry room and dryer/drying room not on the stairs where guests can see them.
I suggest you take this dump off your list it's the most horrendous hotel I have ever been to. We got there the young lady at the bar wasn't aware of our arrival but assured me the rooms had all been changed and clean. We where shown to our room we checked things out no kettle no toiletries no towels the shower basin and floor where filthy looked like a chimney sweep had just left. The toilet had been used and not flushed so that had not been cleaned either. We left the girl cleaning and asked she locked the door as our cases where on the desk. We went out to eat and came back to the door wide open not locked. Needless to say we didn't stay we picked up our case and left we spent the night at Premier Lodge not costing much more but by God we could sleep easy in clean and hygienic conditions. TOTAL DISGRACE

Cancellwd
Didnt stay they cancelled on us the evening before. Booked into holiday inn express last minute cost us more and had to have taxi to venue we were going to see a band it was further away than the white hart inn.
Iv have been a contractor for over 25 years so that's 25years of staying in accommodation and this place was up there in the top 10 to avoid bed so bad Impaled by springs, no kettle to make a drink no glasses.
Dirty, smelly for god sake the barmaid told me to go to shop to buy tea bags say no more.
To start with there was a stick with sharps on it behind the toilet closest; never in my life had I seen anything like that in a hotel toilet before.
The beds were very unstable and squeaky; the matresses were of poor quality or worn.
Beds were advertised as double beds but on getting to the room they were single beds. I had to pitch my body against the wall to get some comfort and my son almost fell from the bed.
There were no toilet soaps or bathing soap. We had to go to the nearest ASDA to get some soap.
It was shambolic and I feel like getting my money back but you will never accept that reasoning. I felt I had been conned and duped by paying almost £40 for all that rubbish experience; it was extremely awful.
Arrived 1230pm,premises closed, tried both numbers advertised on building, unattainable.waited in car park till 1400 hrs, door opened by young girl, who was barmaid.
Inside premises smelt, inside asked the time breakfast was available in the morning , told it was room only.
No light in toilet, light fitting in shower hanging down, with cables exposed, stained carpets, freezing cold, only one sheet and very thin blanket, kettle two mugs,no coffee or tea.

We booked a room which advertised bed and breakfast when we arrived we were told they no longer do breakfast. There was a live band playing inthe pub that was very loud and disturbed our peaceand quiet.
Staff were very friendly upon arrival but the room was an absolute disgrace. We booked a double room and given a twin room TWICE. Towels had stains, bedsheets had blood stains the room was grubby and the dedor terrible, no matress protectors on the beds, stains on the carpet and the kettle in the room smelt so bad we couldn't even make a cup of tea not to mention after leaving the property and stying with friends we then found out we had been charged twice for the room. Annoyed is an understatement
