"Had a fire alarm and had to wait outside in the cold. Also my room was not ready when I arrived. Love this property but was a little disappointed this time."

"Perhaps this is a more general hotel thing cutting corners and not including stuff that used to be standard but there is basically no housekeeping. They change towels (no fresh linens, no cleaning) every other day. Literally we got new towels and a roll of toilet paper. Supposedly if you stay a week they clean the room. I’m sure it saves them a ton of money but the savings sure don’t seem to be passed on to the customer. We could have used the floor vacuumed but not gonna happen! There are public by the hour parking lots but no hotel parking. The valet parking with in/out privileges was not cheap. I gave 4 stars, but that may be over-rating the place."

"From the front desk staff to the room, unmatched service and a truly luxury experience. The staff in the hallway (room staff) were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Valet attendants were quick and professional. Overall, superior! Not to mention the most beautiful historical places we have ever stayed!"
Omni Richmond Hotel

"Believe me, the Omni in Richmond is a wonderful hotel. I’ll just say that if you’re looking for a luxurious top tier level of hotel, it isn’t all the way there. You’ll notice some little things top hotels don’t let slide. The walls are super thin. I felt like I could have a conversation with our neighbors through the wall (without yelling). We were lucky not to hear any nefarious activities going on. Also, the bathroom door had some wear and tear. The windows needed a scrubbing too. No big deal. Just stuff you’d care about if you wanted luxury at its best, which tends to be the Omni brand. My last gripe really is that they don’t have a free parking option. It’s either you park yourself for $35 or valet parks you for $45. So include that in your price if you elect to stay here. Other than that, my goodness - very clean, soft bed, excellent shower pressure, amazing amenities, perfect location, helpful staff. I would recommend to anyone passing through and looking for something really nice to stay in for the night."

"The staff doesn't seem very happy to be there.... My room only got cleaned once during the 3-night stay. The refrigerator in the room made such a horrible, nonstop noise that we had to leave it unplugged. Don't expect to bring leftovers back and keep them cold overnight."

"This hotel is very well situated for the Capital and downtown -- it's not a local neighborhood, if that's what you're looking for. The room and bathroom were spacious and soundproofed. The gentleman at check-in and check-out was very polite and helpful. The rooms could use some updating electronically -- more charge points for phones, airpods, etc. would be useful. Would not recommend for a business traveler until they update that aspect, but for a vacation traveler, it was find."

"room was clean, staff was helpful. However, loud music at 3 am in the morning is annoying especially to players who has to wake up at 6 am in the morning for their tournament. Breakfast included limited options but good except that the glasses or plates are low quality plastic."
