"New section of the hotel was great, only 3-4 weeks in use. It was very well appointed & much more upscale than a typical hotel. Large screen tv, significantly larger microwave, amazing tiled shower. All of the staff were outstanding! We had great conversations with several of them & it was a pleasure to get to know them. There was a game room above the registration office that was very well done. We will definitely stay there for any future visits to Salem "

"2 night stay. Convenient to commute between Salem and Rockport. Our apartment was 2 bedroom as we travel with our adult son. Its hard to find suites that are not just a pull out sofa in the Livingroom area. We did not use the stove or dishwasher. Best feature was the ability to set the air conditioning down to 60 and actually feel it. The bed mattress was too hard for us, but that is a personal preference. "We booked this hotel because we had tickets to a show at the Stage at Suffolk Downs. It was perfect for this- walkable to the venue. No complaints about the hotel at all. However, I wasn’t thrilled with the $30 charge to park in the hotel parking lot. I understand this charge when you are right in the city (and usually it is associated with underground or valet parking). But this is not the case with this hotel- this was self parking in a suburban area (it is across from a shopping plaza)."

"The staff were very welcoming and the hotel clean and new. Breakfast was great. The bar and bar food was great. We came for a concert at Suffolk Downs and it was a 12 minute walk away, will definitely stay here again if visiting for a concert "
