The Lofts are a great.concept that lack in execution. Remodeled school - classrooms are now spacious suites. Good bed, big TV. But too much feel of.living in an art installation - cracked plaster etc. And #1 peeve was a toilet in the corner of the main room with a sheer curtain for 'privacy!' Once the owners fix some details this will be very cool. Great area and restaurants etc.
Very clean room - I stayed in Loft 215 and the view from the balcony was a nice touch. Loved using the bath, the bed was comfy, and the TV turned into a painting when not in use. Such an artsy building, loved walking around the building. Also very close to restaurants, a book store, coffee shop, etc.
Only drawback was that there was not an elevator. Also, the hot tub faucet and showerhead needed to be updated or tightened, very loose. Otherwise, very nice place to stay. Loved the free water bottles and chocolate.
I absolutely love staying here..... it's an old school house, converted into a working production studio space, and loft apartment style hotel rooms. The beds and jetted tubs are luxurious, the thoughtfully decorated rooms retain aspects of the old school and have a beautiful vintage touch. So much creativy and good vibes. The staff is responsive and wonderful. One of my favorite spots to visit:-)
This is our second stay here and we loved it both times! We decided to go for the level up in rooms this time and it was totally worth it for the bathtub, kitchen, and living room area. It was so nice that we decided to change our evening plans one of the days we were in town to just lay around and enjoy the room. We will be coming back!
This is an unique experience for us. There is no traditional lobby or reception area. All entrances are managed by electronic keypad. The staff coordinated with us through the text messages for daily cleanup and other needs.
The hot tub does not have soap, shampoo and no place holder for one we brought. I will stay again but I wish there is a soap holder.
Parkign is easy. The place is well maintained but bed, mattress and carpet could use more cleaning or even new ones.
Location of School 31 is convenient to many local activities. The re-use of the building is wonderful. Decor is fun and comfortable. We would certainly stay here again. It was a little quirky with the bathroom area being open to the rest of the room. Our room was on the road-side of the building and there was some traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable and room temperature controls were easy to use.

I would highly recommend this property. We felt very safe. The loft was great, it was spacious, clean and comfotable. The only downside was it was a bit noisey because hvac system. I'd stay here again.
Our stay at S31 was great. The building is incredible and the rooms are modernized, but still have the original woodwork. The Village gate is close with great restaurants and boutique shops. The neighborhood is full of history and a great place to take a late night walk. Although there is not currently a dining area at the property, they have great snack options for enjoying in the room and great local wines. My wife wanted a large bath/Jacuzzi and our room did not disappoint. The only thing she wished was, they offered a bath package with bubble bath and wine. Overall we had an incredible experience and we can't wait to stay again, and try one of their other themed lofts. S31 is now a favorite and unlike any experience from a chain hotel.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Would’ve liked a better check in process but over all the staff was accommodating and helped
Our room and the entire building had so much character. The building access and security was easy and the room amenities were wonderful. The heating/ cooling was way too noisy though and the air velocity was so high that the warm air felt cool by the time it reached us.
This is an eccentric place! An old school building, with a number of the old classrooms converted into hotel rooms. Nice, quirky, cool. Huge windows, extremely high ceilings. Location can't be beat. There is other stuff happening in this building (or that might happen, or that once of it happened. None of it is noisy, but the effect is a bit chaotic. The furniture is mix and match. I could do without the plastic Costco plants.
The bad part was the communication. Because the front desk is staffed only at certain hours, you have to register online even after making your reservation. They spammed me to ask me to do this, but did not reply to my requests for the necessary reservation number. They also told me for a while that I was going to have to change rooms during my stay, but that didn't come to pass in the end.
Not the most professional outfit, but I would stay there again.
Brilliantly quirky repurposing of a magnificent building. The owners have taste with a capital T. And the staff has proven over many visits to be thoughtful and accommodating.
Can’t recommend enough
Our stay was great! I pictured the room being a little different than when I booked but no complaints, it was a great stay. The room was very cool, clean, and the bed was comfortable!
