Douglas County Museum of History and Natural History
You can spend time studying the exhibits at Douglas County Museum of History and Natural History during your travels in Roseburg. While you're in the area, stroll along the riverfront.
Nestled along the Umpqua River, this timber town offers world-class fly fishing and nearby wildlife safari adventures. Wineries dot the surrounding valleys, while Crater Lake's stunning blue waters wait just a scenic drive away.
Roseburg is close to several hikes to beautiful waterfalls and fairly close to Crater Lake National Park. Sad part is the wildfire damage to parts of the Umpqua area.

Roseburg is a nice town. And having the 5fwy running thriught the middle of it (literally)! Makes it a very convenient place to stop for the night. Also, the gas prices are almost $1 cheaper than Coos Bay! (07/29/2024)

We used to live her and how it has grown! They have everything you need for a smaller community and the dining choices are numerous. There are lots of back roads to explore, too.

Enjoyed Alexander's Greek Cuisine (super nice staff, good food), McMenamin's in the old train station, and will definitely go to The Bagel Tree whenever we are anywhere near Roseburg for the best-ever bagel sandwiches and extra bagels to take home.
