"The staff was very friendly and helpful. They let us check out beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs for free. The view from the room overlooking the beach and palm trees was super. The location was centrally located for going either direction on the island. The problem was that homeless were prevalent around the area. Most the best food in the area was from food trucks, which was fine most of the time. They definitely need a new bed. I felt like I was sleeping on the side of the hill...

"The location is definitely the highlight for this resort. Perfectly situated in front of the beach, with a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the resort. The beach itself is not for swimming as it’s short and rocky, but there are plenty of good options at walking distance. The resort itself is OK, adequate for the price but not exceptional. "First room smelled horrible…front desk clerk sprayed the room…still horrible! I continued to complain, finally next day we were moved to another room. The property is well maintained and the remainder of our stay was nice but I felt we should have been offered a different room immediately after we complained about the smell in the first room, not the next day after complaining again."

"You have to pay 10 dollars per day for microwave use aside from the resort fee daily. It’s pretty expensive already then all these extra payments. The room was also basic. I guess you pay for the view and the location. The beach has wild waves good gor surfing but not much for swimming. If you have kids and want a lot of swimming without wild waves go to Royal Sonesta in Lihue or Princeville close to Hanalei Bay.
