"Everything was excellent with high standards, as usual - we have stayed many times before. Only small problem was the old fashioned cistern on the toilet - my wife couldn't reach the high, short chain to pull! Room 218."

"Our second stay here, love the bar and always have drinks before checking in and also when we return from our evening out. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff always friendly and helpful."

"Very comfortable and clean room, helpful staff and within walking distance to the town."

"Very friendly staff, evening meal and breakfast done to a high quality. Everything you need in the rooms including hairdryer"

"Staff were all very friendly, breakfast service was good. Room was fine but very basic."

"Good location, cosy room"

"Lovely rooms with streaming in the tv Nespresso coffee always a plus. Usual amenities, good food offer & reasonably priced. Highly recommend, lovely area with a local village store & post office which is great"

"Spa facilities poorly maintained wood splitting in sauna, no steam room very small pool and small dirty changing facilities. Inadequate gym facilities literally 1 treadmill Old dirty carpet and room smelled old. Tv was inadequate old 1st generation TV. Terrible WiFi signal Reception staff friendly but catering staff not. No food available after 9.30pm no amenities or facilities around to overcome this. Would not recommend staying unless just going to specifically play golf"

"Good food options in the Garden restaurant which was actually tasty. Attentive staff and immaculate hospitality from Prince. Clean and spacious rooms."

"fantastic stay"

"The hotel is a lovely old pub & breakfast is good. Our room was hot & thought needs to be given to improving the fans in the room. There are a couple of free, open 24 hours car parks within a 2-4 minutes walk. It's old so floors are uneven and there are a lot of half steps."

"To be honest we only booked this hotel because it was the nearest one we could find to Gatwick when all the flights got canceled. As it happens it was an excellent choice and we are definitely thinking of booking it as a.place to stay in its own right."

"Room was clean and spacious. Very quiet nights sleep. Ideal for our early morning flight. Unfortunately there is no continental breakfast from 4 am anymore , which we were in aware of."

"This is the second time we've stayed here. Love the place, beautiful old english manor style, staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds and surrounding area are beautiful too. We plan to stay here again!"
